Vinturi recently received the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award in the tabletop category for the Vinturi Travel portable wine aerator.
Vinturi Travel was selected out of thousands of applications from more than 45 countries.
Established in 1950, The Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award recognizes the best in new and innovative product and graphic design.
The 2011 awards were judged by a distinguished jury of design professionals who are members of the American Institute of Architects, Los Angeles. The decisions were based on aesthetic criteria such as innovation, form, materials, construction, concept, function and quality.
“We are extremely proud to have received a Good Design award this year,” said Rio Sabadicci, inventor of Vinturi products and CEO of the Carlsbad, Calif.-based company. “Vinturi prides itself on innovation, aesthetics and functionality, and values the recognition bestowed by an institution as prestigious as The Chicago Athenaeum.”
The Vinturi Travel provides the same aeration mechanism as the patented Vinturi Red Wine Aerator. It aerates red wine in the time it takes to pour a glass.
