Rishi Tea Partners with Yoga Foundation

PrintRishi Tea Partners with Yoga Foundation

Rishi Tea is now the Official Beverage of National Yoga Month, which occurs every September. Under this new partnership, Milwaukee-based Rishi will donate a portion of its Unity Herbal Tea sales to the Marina Del Rey, Calif.-based Yoga Health Foundation.

“Yoga and tea seem to pair up perfectly, as both can help people pursue healthier, more enriching lifestyles,” notes Rishi COO Todd Wickstrom.

The ancient discipline is an important part of the culture at Rishi Tea, where employees participate in a weekly yoga class held every Friday afternoon in the company’s offices. Afterwards, many staffers partake of a cup of Unity Herbal Tea, a blend of herbs and roots that includes ginger, licorice root and lemongrass.

During National Yoga Month, Rishi will contribute 25 percent of all online sales and 10 percent of all wholesale sales of the organic and Fair Trade tea variety to help promote yoga and healthy living across the United States.
