Time Out Plans Food Hall in Chicago

 Expanding format that debuted in Lisbon

Time Out Market, a food hall concept owned by Time Out media group, publishers of entertainment magazines and websites, is planning to open in Chicago’s Fulton Market, according to a Chicago Tribune report. The first Time Out Market opened in Lisbon and drew 3 million visitors to Portugal last year after attracting 1.9 million in 2015, the first full year it was open.

The food hall in Chicago will be 30,000 square feet, more than half the size of the Lisbon food hall, and feature a variety of stalls for bars, restaurants and shops. Time Out keeps a percentage of each vendor’s sales.

The company also plans to open food hall in Miami Beach, Fla., London and Porto, Portugal.
