Retailer to Launch Wholesale Platform at NY Now

The Grommet, an online retailer of innovative, new-to-market products, will exhibit its wholesale platform NY Now at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York Aug. 16-20.

The Grommet Wholesale says its “the first online B2B e-commerce platform for discovery and sales of products by independent makers.” The program was launched as part of the first-ever White House Maker Faire last month.

Involved in the Maker Movement, The Grommet will bring some of the products and their makers, including Cuppow, a BPA-free plastic lid that turns a mason jar into a drinking mug. The product is Made in the USA. In all more than a dozen of home, décor, pet, art, fitness, tech and gadget categories will be represented by The Grommet, located in concourse exhibit NC 1.

On The Stage
The Grommet Co-Founders, Jules Pieri and Joanne Domeniconi, will speak at NY Now. Domeniconi will moderate a panel discussion on “Modern-Day Matchmaking: Technology & Tools for the 21st Century” and Pieri will speaking about entrepreneurship and lessons learned as a start-up founder.

The Grommet has helped launch more than 2,000 products since 2008. SodaStream, FoodShouldTasteGood, FitBit and  IdeaPaint are a few of its success stories.
