Soft Q2 results leads narrows outlook

Natural Grocers has narrowed its outlook for fiscal 2017 following a decline in comparable-store sales in the second quarter and first half of fiscal 2017, although the company anticipates a stronger second half in fiscal 2017.

The number of new stores planned for the remainder of the year dropped from 15 to 20 to 15 to 17 and relocations dropped from three to two.

During the second quarter, the grocer opened four new stores and relocated one, bringing its total store count to 135 stores in 19 states as of March 31.
