A pop-up concept developed by Walmart’s Jet.com, opened in New York City’s Story, a 2,000-square-foot retail space that changes its product mix every one to two months. The store, named Fresh Story and will be open for six weeks, sells grocery items, including produce, and culinary products, like Coolest Cooler with a built-in blender and Bluetooth speaker and June Intelligent Oven, a countertop convection oven that does the cooking for you. The store also will feature appearances by celebrity chefs like Mario Batali.
The store’s concept is to showcase produce and grocery items with similarly-themed items from other retail categories like beauty, tech and home décor.
“We are thrilled to partner with STORY to introduce Jet Fresh and show-case how we are innovating in the space of online grocery shopping and delivery,” said Sumaiya Balbale, Jet.com Marketing VP, in a statement.
