Two co-ops transition from associates to full-member status

National Co+op Grocers (NCG) – the business services cooperative for retail food co-ops across the United States – announced the transition of two associate co-ops to membership status.

Both new members initially joined NCG as associate co-ops in October 2015.

East Aurora Cooperative Market in East Aurora, N.Y., opened last year, while Fiddleheads Natural Foods Co-op in New London, Conn., opened its retail store in 2008.

“NCG is excited to welcome these two Northeastern co-ops as full members,” said Robynn Shrader, CEO, NCG. “We look forward to an even deeper relationship with them as they continue to grow and serve their communities through the cooperative business model.”
