The Cheesemonger Invitational (CMI) returns to Long Island City, N.Y., June 22-24.
The annual event, which has been described as “a cheese marathon meets Burning Man for cheesemongers and turophiles,” was created by Adam Moskowitz and the team at Larkin Cold Storage in 2000.
“It is a celebration of the cheesemonger because they are the last stop before the cheese goes home and a most critical step in caring, sharing and pairing cheese with people,” said Moskowitz.
The Cheesemonger Invitational brings together cheesemongers from around the world for to educate and calibrate. All currently employed cheesemongers are invited to participate. Register at www.cheesemongerinvitational.com.
