Welcome to the world of Superior® Coffee. Founded in 1908, Superior Coffee began as a retail store on Chicago's West Side, specializing in fine coffees and teas. Soon after opening for business, Superior began delivering roaster-fresh coffee to homes and, later, to restaurants.

During the next 50 years, Superior grew from a small regional roaster to a national beverage company. Today, Superior has seven roasting plants, in Bow, N.H., Hayward, Calif., Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Houston, and New Orleans. We roast millions of pounds of coffee yearly, but our commitment to quality and consistency has never changed.

In 1970 Superior pioneered the Specialty Coffee category, offering a range of estate coffees from Africa, Indonesia, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and the United States (Royal Kona® 100% Pure Extra Fancy). We offer custom proprietary blends, ranging from our signature Cafe Royal® and our newest Chicago Blues Blend® to dark roasts. Decaffeinated coffees were added as the market developed. In the late 1970s Superior introduced flavored coffees to meet customer requests and established our reputation as the leading innovator in this category. Superior offers over forty selections of flavored coffee, including Tiramisu, English Toffee Swirl, Georgia Pecan, Emerald Cream®, and Cafe Angelica® (Hazelnut). We have built relationships with our customers by providing only the highest-quality products at fair prices. Superior also offers a variety of instant Cappuccino, cocoas, and our annual favorite, Christmas Traditions® Coffee and cocoa. However, this is only the beginning of the Superior relationship. Coffee training manuals, description cards, tasting guides, world coffee maps, and coffee posters are yet another part of what Superior provides its customers. The list goes on at Superior. We are constantly looking for new products, packaging, point of sale, and promotions that will help retailers sell more specialty coffee and continue to increase consumer awareness for these innovative, outstanding beverage choices.

From harvesting and processing to roasting and packaging, Superior's exacting standards ensure premium products. The end result is Superior Coffee—"The Coffee Authority" to the specialty coffee industry. Select whole-bean bulk, whole-bean prepackaged, or ground prepackaged. Choose from brick packages, valve packages, or fractional packages. Need equipment? Superior offers a full line of grinders, brewers, air pots, merchandising displays, and all the other merchandising assistance you may need to effectively sell and promote specialty coffee. Our commitment to industry leadership is unparalleled in our quest to be "The Leading Coffee Authority" and to serve our most valued customers and partners.
