"This acquisition will help New Mexico Coffee Co. meet its aggressive growth plans," stated Randy Whitehead, president of the company. "It fits in with our goals of expanding our product lines and quadrupling sales over the next two years."

Elizabeth Kollar, former president of Rio Grande, will now serve as vice president of sales for New Mexico Coffee. The Rio Grande product lines will continue to be marketed under the new agreement, providing current New Mexico Coffee customers a broader range of products, including a wider range of packages. Commercial accounts will also be expanded, as will roasting capacity with the addition of both a drum and an air roaster.
