Wisconsin Cheesemakers Star at Gala

PrintWisconsin Cheesemakers Star at Gala

There’s less than 100 tickets available to the he Nov. 4 Meet the Cheeemaker Gala at Monona Terrace in Madison, Wis.

According to the event’s organizers, this is the only event that annually brings 35 Wisconsin cheesemakers and 150 artisan, farmstead and specialty cheeses into the same room on the same night. The Meet the Cheesemaker Gala is the signature event of the Annual Wisconsin Original Cheese Festival, now in its third year. Gala tickets are $29 and sold only in advance at www.wicheesefest.com.

Tickets to the festival’s other popular events, including Friday creamery tours, Saturday tasting seminars and evening cheesemaker dinners are now sold out.

The remaining tickets are for the 8-10 p.m. tasting session of the Meet the Cheesemaker Gala. The earlier session, from 6-8 p.m, is also sold out. Each session is limited to 250 attendees, allowing attendees to personally meet the cheesemakers in a relaxed setting.

New this year, nearly 100 artisan, farmstead and specialty cheeses will be offered for sale to the public by Metcalfe’s Market in a room adjacent to the gala. Attendees should come ready to taste and then purchase their favorite cheeses. All purchases include a complimentary box of Wisconsin Artisan Cheesemaker Note Cards, courtesy of Wisconsin Cheese Originals.

For a complete line-up of all cheesemakers, companies and cheeses featured at the Nov. 4 Meet the Cheesemaker Gala, visit: www.wicheesefest.com/meet-the-cheesemaker
