New Gourmet Retailer Opens in River Vale, N.J.

PrintNew Gourmet Retailer Opens in River Vale, N.J.

Bergen County’s newest gourmet retailer, Vero Farms and Marketplace, celebrated its grand opening on July 14.

Located in River Vale, N.J., Vero Farms and Marketplace features nine specialty departments with a large selection of prime meats, kosher foods, food for special diets, fresh seafood, and locally grown and organically-grown produce.

The market was conceived and built by Joe and Devin Bouton, an entrepreneurial, father-and-son duo and Joseph Cammarata, whose gourmet retail and merchandising experience includes working for Dean & Deluca.

The market is divided into sections reminiscent of market fair stalls in old world cities and towns.

“From the start, we only had one vision for what we wanted for Vero Farms, and that is what you see today,” says Devin Bouton. “It is a beautiful market, with food items of all kinds that are considered by us, and recognized by others to be the very best the marketplace has to offer.”

Other highlights include freshly prepared foods made on-premises; charcuterie features include prepared meats such as salami, sausage, pâtés and selections of exotic game meats. Some of the store’s freshly made items include cupcakes and store-roasted deli meats. Mozzarella is made every Saturday in the cheese section. The store also offers catering and a loyalty card program.

“Everyone involved with the market is a lover of great food and wonderful tastes,” Cammarata says. Every department head is noted for their sharp buying skills, and our management team is made up of advisors and food enthusiasts with renowned reputations. Above all, everyone here is focused on making a visit to Vero Farms the finest food shopping experience for our customers.”
