Fresh & Easy Expands Wine Offerings

PrintFresh & Easy Expands Wine Offerings

On the heels of doubling its number of gluten-free SKUs, Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market has added 130 wines to its wine department. Almost 170 of the 450 wines offered at El Segundo, Calif.-based Fresh & Easy now are exclusive to the company and have earned more than 200 awards from acclaimed international wine competitions.

The expansion includes seven additions to Fresh & Easy’s Big Kahuna line, which retails for under $3 per bottle. The line now features seven more varietals, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rosé, Shiraz, Tempranillo, Sweet White and Crisp White.

“We’re excited to offer our customers the newly expanded and delicious range of wines at incredibly affordable prices,” says Richard Wherry, category manager of wine and beer for Fresh & Easy. “Having strong partnerships with local wineries helps us to create these high-quality, award-winning wines that are exclusively offered at Fresh & Easy.”

The back labels of Fresh & Easy wine bottles include tasting notes, vineyard information, food pairing and storage recommendations. Fresh & Easy organizes wines by variety instead of region. Additionally, the company’s exclusive wines are marked “specially selected by Fresh & Easy.”
