Earth Fare, Whole Foods Pick Up Mom’s Gourmet Line

PrintEarth Fare, Whole Foods Pick Up Mom’s Gourmet Line

Mom’s Gourmet line of spices and rubs has picked up distribution at two natural food store chains.

Asheville, N.C. – based specialty foods retailer Earth Fare is now carrying the Mom’s Gourmet line of spices and rubs products, and Whole Foods Markets Southern region has agreed to pick up the line, according to Mom’s Gourmet.

In 2008, Sally Koepke and her mother Pat Hurley started the gourmet spice company. The branding of the 10 rubs and spices is inspired by Koepke’s love of animals and the outdoors. Yellow Dog Sweet Shake, Black Dog Belly Rub, and Red Dog Rub were named after her retrievers while her favorite outdoor pastimes led to the creation of Awesome Antler Rub, Far Out Feather Dust, and Feisty Fish Rub. The seasonings and rubs, some which are sodium-free, complement everything from veggies to beef, pork, seafood, fish, poultry, venison as well as grilled fruit.

Mom’s Gourmet products are carried in a number of local and national specialty stores across the country including Andronico’s Community Markets, Whole Foods, Heinen’s, Plum Market, Mama Jean’s Market, and the Orvis Company stores.
