Doubling Up
The Cook's Warehouse opened its fourth store next to Whole Foods Market, where it
operates a store-within-a-store and does cooking demos.
Earlier today The Cook's Warehouse today opened its fourth store in East Cobb in Marietta, Ga. Located in the newly renovated Merchants Walk shopping center, the 4,800-square-foot store is the kitchenware retailer's second-largest store.
Since Mary Moore, founder and owner of The Cook's Warehouse, opened the first store in 1995, East Cobb has been “the most-requested store location,” she explains. “The area has a vibrant demographic, a strong sense of community, is very friendly to business, and a thorough review of registrants to our cooking school showed a significant percentage from East Cobb came to our classes. Finally, the rebirth of Merchant’s Walk and the location next to our close friend Whole Foods Market sealed the deal.”
Whole Foods Market opened its eighth metro Atlanta store July 27 in the same retail development, and The Cook’s Warehouse opened inside the natural foods store as well, running its kitchenwares department and providing cooking demonstrations, reported the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The Cook's Warehouse store displays cookware and accessories including All-Clad, Primo Grills, Capresso, Cuisinart, Demeyere, Zwilling J.A. Henckels, Le Creuset, Shun, Swiss Diamond, Wüsthof, WMF and others.
“In our kitchen, we counsel customers on the correct appliance for their indoor or outdoor cooking and helping them have ‘test runs’ before purchase,” Moore says. The professional brands available include Miele, Sub-Zero, Wolf, Vent-A-Hood, Five-Star, Viking, Franke and more.

The East Cobb store associates are led by David DiCorpo, manager, and Matt South, assistant manager, a team that moved from Cook’s Brookhaven location. The staff includes appliance specialists, knife specialists, a kitchen manager and knowledgeable sales associates.
In other news, The Cook’s Warehouse was named Best Cooking Classes by the local entertainment website Creative Loafing in its annual “Best of Atlanta” survey.
With four locations in greater Atlanta area and an online store, The Cook's Warehouse offers more than 15,000 products for the kitchen and conducts more than 600 classes yearly.
