Chex Finer Foods, a third-generation family owned specialty and natural foods distributor, was selected for Inc. Magazine's 2011 Inc. 5000 list. The Inc. 5000 list is an exclusive ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America.

Chex Finer Foods is No. 2971 on the list and is also ranked 83rd within the food and beverage category.

The Attleboro, Mass.-based distributor celebrated the 45th anniversary of its founding this past year. Since 2003, the company has experienced notable growth in terms of both revenue and size. According to an email to its customers, revenue more than doubled from 2006 to 2010, and grew more than 70 percent in the last three years.

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 5000 companies remains over 50 percent, according to Inc. Magazine. The companies on this year's Inc. 5000 list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year, the magazine states.
