Niman Ranch, a leader in sustainable agriculture and humane livestock practices, introduced a line of artisan charcuterie at the 13th annual Good Food Festival & Conference. The line features 23 items, including Genoa Salame, Capocollo, Hot Sopresatta, Pepperoni and Pancetta, and will be available in multiple retail and foodservice formats, three snack pack varieties and a Gourmet Provisions lunch kit. Prosciutto will be introduced this summer.
“In response to the urging of chefs and specialty grocers who wanted a real choice in superior tasting charcuterie made humanely and sustainably by U.S. family farmers, we created a new product category from our delicious tasting pork,” said Jeff Tripician, Niman Ranch GM and CMO. “We are pleased to expand what we offer with a Niman Ranch charcuterie that shares the values of our customers.”
The new product line comes from the network of family farmers raising pigs in a sustainable and human environment without antibiotics and is artisan-crafted using high quality heritage breed pork and old-world techniques for exceptional flavor and slicing. The products contain no artificial ingredients or preservatives, no added fillers like dried milk or corn syrup and are never heat treated.
