Four companies were presented with the first annual Best New Product Awards at The Gourmet Housewares Show Aug. 17, with Joseph Joseph receiving Best of Show honors for its 4-piece Baking Set.

The Gourmet Housewares Show, which debuted this week at the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF), ended Aug. 18, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Awards were also presented in three product-specific categories: cookware (cookware, bakeware, and small electronics); dining (serveware, bar/wine accessories, picnic/barbecue accessories, and specialty foods); and kitchen preparation (kitchen gadgets, kitchen textiles, cookbooks, and storage/containers).

“The Gourmet Housewares Show is overflowing with quality and innovation," says Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. “The winners and finalists were recognized for elements in product design and performance which reached a higher standard.”
