Balducci’s is launching its first Balducci’s Gourmet on the Go Café at Hearst Tower, at 300 West 57th Street in New York City.
The café, which is scheduled to open in mid-December, is targeting “urban professionals with convenient yet high-quality items,” explains Michele Johnson, vice president of marketing.

The Balducci’s Gourmet on the Go Café will use fresh, local ingredients and will feature custom-made salads, sandwiches, and sweet and savory crepes. The breads and pastries will be sourced from area bakeries, and the retailer’s trademark coffee will be available.

Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market, founded in 1916, operates stores located in Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut and New York.
Balducci’s principal shareholders are funds managed by Angelo, Gordon & Co., a New York-based investment firm that also operates the Kings Super Markets.
