After gaining experience in retail and product marketing, Leila Uslander has joined her mother, Athena, to work at Athena’s Silverland Desserts, a Chicago-based natural gourmet food manufacturer.

Leila ecently joined the family business as the senior director of sales and marketing. She is responsible for all marketing, public relations and sales-related activities for the company.

“I have watched Leila grow and blossom over the past 10 years in her previous professional roles,” says Athena Uslander, founder and president. “Her innate passion for the business positions her perfectly to bring a breath of fresh air to the company.”

Leila began her career at Athena’s Silverland Desserts by leading a brand design as well as the launch of Raw Bar category that was launched at the Winter Fancy Food Show.

Athena’s Silverland Desserts began in 1983 as a commercial baker of brownies and cookies. Since then it has evolved into specializing in hand-crafting hundreds of all-natural desserts, crispy rice bars and raw bars.
