PrintAisle By Aisle Contest Results: 2001 Gourmet Products Show

By Erin Brodie
Amidst the many distractions and festivities of The Big Easy, thousands of retailers made their way to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center for the 2001 Gourmet Products Show April 22-25, where they found an immense selection of gourmet products. Waffle makers, electric grills, fondue sets, even glow-in-the-dark ice cubes are just a few examples of the many products on display at the show. To truly get an idea of what products really caught the attention of your peers, we assembled a group of qualified specialty retailers to act as anonymous judges. Their mission? To search through the overwhelming selection of products and gadgets and find the best of each aisle.

What follows are those products judged to be the best by people who own, manage, or buy for a retail store just as you do. Whether you didn't make it to the show or you just didn't have a chance to see every product in every aisle, we think you?ll find the choices of our judges interesting and helpful.
