Rumiano Cheese Picks Up Non-GMO Certification

Print Rumiano Cheese Picks Up Non-GMO Certification

Rumiano Cheese Co, based in Crescent City, Calif., is the first cheese company to receive the Non-GMO Project Verification for its entire line of organic products, including cheese and butter.

Rumiano has been producing all-natural, grass-fed, rBST-free, kosher cheese for more than 90 years.

The Non-GMO Project, a non-profit organization created by U.S and Canadian natural and organic products companies, offers consumers a non-GMO choice for organic and natural products that are produced without genetic engineering or recombinant DNA technologies. The Non-GMO Project verifies all types of products. More information is available at www.nongmoproject.org.

“As a company that has built its reputation and success on making the highest quality and purest cheese products, being the first Non-GMO Project Verified organic cheese company is a real feather in our cap,” says Joby Rumiano, fourth-generation owner of Rumiano Cheese. “We are committed to providing our customers with not only the best tasting cheese, but also products that are produced in the most sustainable, humane and environmentally conscious manner.”

In addition, all Rumiano’s organic dairies are American Humane Certified Free Farmed through the American Humane Association.
