Regal Ware Scholarships for 2011 have been awarded to James Gleason and Emily Herlinger. To qualify, a student must be a high school senior, maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and be the child of a Regal Ware employee. The Regal Ware scholarship is awarded on merit based on secondary school academic records, test scores, recommendations, and extracurricular activities. All applicants were interviewed and evaluated on qualities of leadership, character, and motivation.
James Gleason will receive the Technical Scholarship of $1,000 for each of two years of his technical school education. He is the son of James and Connie Gleason of Campbellsport. James currently attends Campbellsport High School and will enroll in Moraine Park Technical College in the fall to study Mechanical Design Technology. James is an honor roll student who enjoys bowling, hunting, fishing and trap shooting.
Emily Herlinger is the recipient of the Academic Scholarship, awarding her $2,000 for each of her four years of college study. Emily, the daughter of Chris and Laure Herlinger of Saukville, will attend Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn., to study Elementary Education. She currently attends Grafton High School, where she was recognized with the Academic Excellence Award with Special Honors her sophomore, junior and senior years. Emily enjoys exercising, cooking, skiing, horseback riding, and learning about different cultures and traditions.
