Oakville Grocery Closes For RenovationOakville Grocery Company’s flagship store in Napa Valley will temporarily close its doors from Jan. 2 through mid-March for a necessary structural renovation.
Currently located under the same roof as the specialty food store, the Oakville Post Office will be moved to a new 600-square-foot building on the property. While the U.S. Postal Service has not yet confirmed that it will be relocating the Oakville branch to this space, Rudd Properties, the owners of Oakville Grocery, said it will build this new post office at its own expense for the community. During the renovations, Oakville residents will be able to pick up their mail at a modular post office in the parking lot of the specialty food store. This additional space will provide a more comfortable customer flow and will also make the store ADA-compliant. An update to the electrical system will make the property more energy efficient, and there will be more room created for prepared and packaged product. Two small buildings will be added for storage and back-of-house operations; and the renovated store will gain two additional public restrooms. Store improvements will include updated food and beverage equipment, energy-efficient refrigeration, and an expanded selection of fresh food. Customers can expect to see many more Oakville Grocery private label products from Napa and Sonoma, as well as a major increase in baked goods. Oakville Grocery Company exclusively carries products from the state of California, with an emphasis on Napa and Sonoma counties.
