From September through December, more than 400 supermarkets and specialty food stores will promote the Cheeses of France.
The in-store events are part of The Cheeses of France Marketing Council’s new campaign celebrating “everyday perfect” cow’s milk cheeses.
The new ad campaign, which was unveiled at the Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington, D.C., is running online in New York, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Some areas will have a dinner for two sweepstakes with a winner every month.
Participating stores received a demo kit that includes a stand, apron, beret, cutting board, recipe card case with three recipe cards for the cheeses being sampled, and a brochure with photos and descriptions of the cheeses and instructions on preparation and storage.
The campaign culminates this fall with a pop-up cheese store in New York City’s NoLita neighborhood. On Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Cheeses of France pop-up store will be open for business.
The Cheeses of France campaign tells American consumers to enjoy French cheese as part of an everyday diet, as research shows that a diet rich in cheese, which is nutrient-rich, can be healthy.
