All-Clad introduced a new Panini Pan with Press, a nine-piece Stainless Healthy Cooking Set, a 2-quart Rice Pot, and a 10-inch Round Crepe. The nine-piece Healthy Cooking Set addresses healthy cooking techniques, such as steaming, blanching, poaching, slow braising, stewing, and roasting. The set includes a 4-quart Casserole pan with lid, a 4-quart Blanching Basket, the All-Clad All-Purpose Steamer, and the All-Clad Food Mill with three disks for smooth purees. Suggested retail is $329.99. It's the small electrics area that might contain the most interesting news for All-Clad fans as the company debuted a Programmable Stainless Steel Slow Cooker. Mauviel introduced a small, stylish saucepan that is perfect for a variety of uses. The new Mini Cocotte with lid is a 3.5-inch copper pan with a stainless steel interior. Perfect for melting butter or chocolate in seconds, the mini cocotte is also great for single servings of soup or stew. The Mini Cocotte goes from oven or stovetop to the table and features a copper lid with polished brass knob and brass handles on both sides of the pot. It retails for $80. Emile Henry debuted new ceramic cookware that sits on the stovetop and doesn't crack. An innovation in ceramics, the new Burgundy Clay Flame-Top ceramic cookware can be used on a gas flame, in an electric or halogen stove, or on the barbecue. Its tolerance of direct heat allows it to sit empty on an open flame for an extended time period. The new ceramic is 30 percent lighter than comparable metal cookware, yet durable enough for even the most demanding cooking tasks. Microwave and dishwasher safe, it can even withstand cutting directly on its surface. Staub added more color to the kitchen with their new Turquoise Cocotte. The vivid blue-green 5-quart round cocotte joins the company's growing selection of colors. Also known as a French oven, the cocotte features a non-reactive highly durable black matte enamel cooking surface along with self-basting spikes built into the lid's underside for tender and moist cooking. The enamel cast-iron cookware also features stainless steel knobs. The 5-quart Turquoise Cocotte is available for a suggested retail price of $190. Thermos Nissan showed an interesting new product that will be ready for retail in the fourth quarter. The Cook and Carry is a pot that can go on the stove, be brought to a boil, and then placed in a vacuum-insulated shell that continues to cook the meal. The company says the cooking style prevents scorching and allows home chefs to prepare a slow-cooked meal without an additional power source. Suggested retail for the 4.7-quart item is $150.00. Bialetti's news is its Leonardo Genius range of cookware with soft-touch handles that are oven safe to 450 degrees. The nonstick Dupont Teflon Platinum interior and nonslip iridium exterior makes for easy cleaning. The stamped aluminum cookware made in Italy carries a 15-year guarantee. Zwilling J.A. Henckels, Inc. continues its expansion with new cookware ranges, additional cutlery launches, and more product introductions slated for the near future. A soft launch of its cookware range came in the fall of 2004, but the company is expected to have a strong presence in upcoming shows for its upscale tri-ply, aluminum sandwich 18-10 Classic Clad stainless steel range. Its unique features include functional weight and handle-grip, as well as marketing itself to specialty markets at a lower price point than its competition. Scanpan USA added a few items to their Classic line, including an Oval Gratin Pan that will be available in May, as well as two new Chef's Pans. One of the new pans is wok shaped and the other offers a shallower profile. Lodge Manufacturing introduced a new Boy Scout Camp Outdoor Gear Set that includes a 12-quart Camp Oven and a 14-inch Skillet. Also generating a lot of buyer interest was their apple-shaped three-quart Dutch Oven in apple green. Copco launched a line of kitchenware products by Mario Batali entitled The Italian Kitchen. Designed to encompass the entire Italian cooking experience, it includes the core essentials needed to prepare authentic Italian meals. Fagor introduced a 7-piece uCook Pressure Cooker Set designed to expand the use of a pressure cooker. Included in the set are 4- and 6-quart "nesting" pots, a pressure cooker lid with two pressure settings, a stainless steel steamer basket-food grater, a tall stainless steel pasta basket, a tempered glass lid that is shock and heat resistant, and a full-color cookbook. German cookware manufacturer BEKA premiered a collection of copper and copper-enhanced cookware that was created in collaboration with chef Marco Pierre White. The White Heat Collection consists of three different lines -- the 1001, 1002, and 1003 Collections. The 1001 Collection features a 1.5mm copper exterior lined with 18-10 stainless steel and includes 8- and 10-piece sets, saucepans, frypans, and stockpots, plus accessory items. The 1002 Collection is comprised of heavy-gauge hard-anodized aluminum with a honeycomb patterned copper base. The interior is lined with a nonstick coating and it includes 8- and 10-piece sets, saucepans, frypans, stockpots, and accessory pieces. The 1003 Collection consists of an 18-10 stainless steel body with a copper-encapsulated base. Kiwi was the big color story at Le Creuset as the new shade was introduced in their Enameled Cast Iron, Stoneware, Enamel on Steel, and Silicone lines. In the Enameled Cast Iron line, the company debuted the Doufeu Oven that gently cooks and continually moistens food. Ice is placed in the cast iron lid and when steam from the interior hits the lid, it cools and is converted back to liquid to continually baste the food as it cooks. Also new in the Enameled Cast Iron range were one- and three-quart Saucier Pans, a Square Roaster, and a Bacon Press. In addition to hosting a lovely cocktail party, the Turkish Pavilion sponsored by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association debuted Turkish Homestyle, a concept that provides fashionable Western-style products at affordable prices.
