Talk about revolutionary. Chef's Planet launched their new arc42 Cookware line that features a superior quality cooking surface and a revolutionary and comfortable handle design -- a vertical one. The patented Power Grip System offers innovative angled silicone handles that provide lifting leverage. High-quality 18/10 stainless steel and an encapsulated stainless steel base provide even heat distribution that makes it suitable for all types of ranges. The arc42 delivers comfortable handling when pouring heavy liquids from a large stockpot and the unique pouring capability provides colander-free straining. The cookware line includes 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- and 6-quart non-stick Saucepans with lids and a 10-inch non-stick Frying Pan. The items' prices range between $65 and $125. By stealing some elements from the chemist's periodic chart, Emile Henry created a new ceramic cookware that sits on the stovetop over hot flames and doesn't crack. The Burgundy Clay Flame-Top ceramic pots may be placed directly on a gas flame, an electric or halogen stove, even a barbecue grill. Microwave and dishwasher safe, the cookware has a surface that cleans up easily and is so durable that a cook can cut right on the cookware without fear of scratching, chipping, or cracking the surface. Currently available in black and red, Flame-Top goes under the broiler and immediately from a freezer or refrigerator into a hot oven. The round 1.8-quart pot retails for $70, the round 2.5-quart pot retails for $90, the round 4-quart pot retails for $130, the oval 4.7-quart pot retails for $150, and the oval 6-quart pot retails for $170. For more information, call 302-326-4800, or visit www.emilehenry.com.

Regal Ware Inc. introduced Renaissance, a colorful cookware line with Sure-Grip stay-cool handles and advanced tri-coat non-stick interiors. Add to that heavy-duty cast construction and twice-fired ceramic exteriors and you've got something to write home about. An 8-piece set has a suggested retail of $400. For information, call 262-626-8503, or visit www.regalware.com.

Kaiser Bakeware presented its 7-inch Square Springform from their La Forme Collection. The new 7-inch square springform allows bakers to create small-sized desserts that are ideally suited for two to four people. It also makes for a creative pyramid layer when placed on top of a cake baked in Kaiser's 9-inch Square Springform. The pan's sides are separate from the bottom and release when the clamp is opened. The pan is coated with a non-stick finish that allows for quick, easy removal of foods, and is cut resistant so foods can be cut and served right from the base. It retails for a suggested price of $36. For more information, call 704-882-3898, or visit www.kaiserbakeware.com.

chef'n introduced their new Kitchzen Silicone Pastry Brush that features an ergonomic handle composed of silicone that is heat resistant up to 650 degrees F, which renders it perfect for use in any pastry preparation and safe for non-stick cookware. Additionally, the silicone bristles are stain resistant and dishwasher safe. Available in seven trend-forward colors: Huckleberry, Cherry, Avocado, Sky, Grape, Frost, and Bubblegum. Cuisipro presented their Twist Whisk and Paddle Whisk made of stainless steel and high heat-resistant silicone. The new whisks launch a new category of tools called Shapes by Cuisipro. The Twist Whisk resembles an egg whisk except that each of its five silicone-wrapped wires are twisted like a strand of licorice candy, resulting in more movement of air, more efficient blending, and fewer required strokes. With the Paddle Whisk, a cook can whisk, scrape, and even fold with one tool, ensuring that all of the ingredients are fully incorporated. The whisks do not inflict scratches to ceramic, metal, and non-stick surfaces, and are heat resistant up to 750 degrees Fahrenheit. Both whisks are available in 10- and 12-inch sizes and in four colors: Red, blue, frosted, and yellow. Available in August, the 10-inch will retail for $15 and the 12-inch, $17. For more information, call 302-326-4802, or visit www.cuisipro.com

More innovation came from MIA Grill Company with its interesting new unit that grills, roasts, steams, and smokes. Multiple steam flavors can be infused directly into the food to create new flavor combinations, making marinading a task of the past. The handcrafted stainless steel unit bears a heat-resistant glass lid that converts into a serving bowl. It works on any stovetop, oven, grill, or heat source. MIA Grill self bastes whole poultry, reducing the cooking time by one-third since it grills from the inside out. For more information, visit www.miagrillcompany.com.

Another inside-out design comes from Tumbleweed Pottery with its Chicken Cooker inspired by the Beer Can Chicken. The oven- and dishwasher-safe cooker is designed so that you can fill the center with a liquid (such as wine), place the chicken on the well, and then cook it. Cookers must be ordered in quantities of four, with a minimum order of 12 pieces. A free resin chicken for your display is available with an order of 24 cookers. For information, call 800-880-5117. Each cooker arrives with its own gift box.
