The Gourmet Retailer is currently seeking entries for our Editors’ Picks August/September 2013 issue and our Housewares Editors’ Picks October/November issue, which will recognize the best new consumer products submitted for consideration and introduced in the past year.

New products are indispensable means of attracting retail buyers’ — and more importantly, consumers’ — attention, and The Gourmet Retailer’s Editors’ Picks will showcase a slate of winners that will be judged on the following criteria:

• Innovation
• Taste

Specialty food winners will be honored in the August/September 2013 print edition of The Gourmet Retailer, as well as on our website. Housewares and other non-food winners will be honored in the October/November issue — in print and online

The February-March issue of The Gourmet Retailer honors our Independent Kitchenware Retailer of the Year.

This award honors excellence in retailing — including, but not limited to, innovative practices, outstanding customer service, and remaining thriving and relevant in today’s ever-changing retail environment.

The Gourmet Retailer is a sponsor International Housewares Association’s global innovation awards, the gias, and selects the U.S. gia winner. This retailer will compete in the International Housewares Association’s global gias at the 2014 International Home + Housewares Show.
