Small Kitchen Electrics Show "Mass" Appeal

According to The NPD Group/Consumer Tracking Service when it comes to the top sellers of small kitchen electrics, the Mass channel accounts for more than half of the categories unit sales (-10.3%) for the 12 months ending June'08, but just over a third of the dollar sales (-9.5%). The Warehouse Club channel represents just over 5% of small kitchen electric dollar sales from July'07 to June'08, and just over 3% of unit sales, but is showing growth. Department Stores didn’t fare so well, experiencing a -6.7% drop in unit sales.
