Late July Organic Sandwich Cookies

I've been impressed by Late July's products ever since I first came across them in my grocery store. Their Classic Saltine and Classic Rich crackers are much better than their more famous predecessors, and it's not surprising since the father of this father-daughter team created both Cape Cod Potato Chips and Chatham Village Foods. Their newest creation, Organic Sandwich Cookies are not the first of their kind but they have put an interesting twist on them. The Organic Dark Chocolate are made with whole grains, pure cocoa and Madagascar vanilla. The Organic Vanilla Bean and Green Tea cookies are enhanced by the addition of the green tea, nutritionally as well as in the flavor. I was sent these samples some time ago and it took me awhile to get around to tasting them. When I did, I was overwhelmed by how delicious they were. They now produce them in grab-and-go sizes, too, perfect for school lunches or an office-drawer treat. The cookies contain no trans fats or hydrogenated oils, nor do they contain high-fructose corn syrup. What they do contain are organic whole grains, all-natural ingredients and even antioxidants from the chocolate in one and the green tea in the other. The choices for healthful organic snacks are getting broader all the time, and that's a very good thing. For more information, call 508-775-1221 or visit www.latejuly.com.
