Bristol Farms opened the doors to its newest store in Valencia,
Calif., last week. The store marks the 16th California location for
the upscale grocer, owned by Supervalu.
"The neighborhood and surrounding community is an exceptional fit
for a specialty store like Bristol Farms," said Kevin Davis,
president, chairman and CEO of Bristol Farms. "Our specialty food
and fresh product mix is unique to the area, and will fulfill a
need that the Valencia community has been hungry for."
The Valencia store has placed a heavy emphasis on the peripheral
departments, including deli and cheese, grab-and-go foods,
specialty full-service meat, seafood, sushi, and locally grown
produce.
Murals from the 1940s and 1950s are part of the store's décor,
which celebrates Santa Clarita Valley history, while the product
selection is a celebration of specialty food from around the world
and around the corner.
Among the store's features are: produce from around the world,
including locally grown natural and organic items; fresh
hand-picked seafood and pokie bar; organic and free-range poultry;
American-raised, all-natural beef (including prime aged beef from
the store's on-site dry-aged beef locker); more than 380 types of
artisan cheeses; an olive bar; extensive wine and beer selections
from wineries around the world; ready-to-eat and prepared foods; a
rotisserie carving station; European hearth-style breads, baked
fresh daily; a full-service juice bar and gelato station; and much
more.
