The 54th Summer Fancy Food Show was the largest in the history of
the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT),
filling a record 349,000 square feet of floor space at the Jacob K.
Javits Convention Center in New York with close to 180,000
innovative food and beverage products from across the United States
and around the world.
With 22,296 attendees, the show connected retail and foodservice
buyers to exhibitors in the expanded Natural & Organic
Pavilion, as well as to tens of thousands of new products, new
flavors and new gift ideas throughout the convention center.
"The success of the Summer Fancy Food Show proves again that it is
the place to be for key buyers of specialty food and beverage
products for domestic and international sales," said Ann Daw,
president of the NASFT. "The specialty food business is holding its
own despite challenges in the economy, and buyers are relying on
our show more than ever as an efficient and exciting place to do
their business and forge new relationships with suppliers."
New products were everywhere, including: Uncured hotdogs in four
flavors, including duck and buffalo; Honey Lavender Fromage Blanc;
Blueberry Acai Gummy Pandas; and Salted Caramels with Pistachio and
Ginger.
The Fancy Food Show grabbed headlines this year in such prominent
venues as the "Today Show," "Good Morning America,"
"CNN en Espanol," "Fox Business News," The New
York Times and regional outlets like the Philadelphia
Inquirer and El Paso Times in Texas. All featured
numerous products reporters discovered from more than 2,500
