DCI Cheese Company Sponsors Giveaway of 300 Snowboards to Honor 2010 Winter Olympics

Dec 23, 2009

As the world looks to Vancouver, British Columbia, to watch the 2010 Winter Olympics, DCI Cheese Company is unveiling a themed giveaway of 300 snowboards promoting Canada-based Black Diamond® Cheddar Cheese. The enter-to-win contest scheduled for Jan. 1 to Feb. 28, 2010, will be available to consumers at the deli case of participating retailers, including Safeway, Whole Foods Market® and Wakefern.

The "Win a Snowboard" contest is available to all legal residents of the United States and District of Columbia age 18 and older. Ballot boxes will be located next to the displays of Black Diamond® Cheddar products at the deli cases of participating retailers. Customers are encouraged to fill out and submit an entry form for their chance to win one of 300 snowboards. Odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received. Winners will be announced immediately following the official drawing.

"We're excited to sponsor this giveaway for our loyal customers and are encouraging their participation with the slogan 'Feed Your Inner Olympian'," states Dominique Delugeau, senior vice president of sales for DCI. "Cheddar is America's favorite snack cheese and our Black Diamond® line provides a palate-pleasing option for consumers to enjoy while watching the Olympic Games this winter."

One of Canada's most acclaimed cheese producers, Black Diamond® features world-renowned aged cheddars representing more than 100 years of traditional craftsmanship. Black Diamond® Premium Aged Cheddars are noted for their classic, full flavor combined with a rich, crumbly texture and pleasant sharpness developed slowly through careful and natural aging. Black Diamond® Aged Cheddars are available in the deli case where high-quality premium cheeses are sold. Recipes incorporating Black Diamond® can be found at www.dcicheeseco.com.
