Tune Into Food Network Style at the Atlanta Market

April 12, 2009

The nationally acclaimed Gourmet/Housewares Center January 2009 premiere sets the bar for July 2009, with the open-air layout, state-of-the-art Food Network-styled kitchen and an expanded high-end product mix giving buyers new selection and service at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

More than 20 new exhibitors will make their AmericasMart debut in July, advancing the Gourmet/Housewares Center merchandise mix to more than 200 of the industry's most premium lines, with more exhibitors coming on board weekly. Housed on floor eight of the magnificent new Building 2 WestWing, the Center is conveniently co-located with the Gourmet Temporaries, rich in product and flavors, on floor two. With the collaboration of premium companies from Viking to Le Creuset to Dolce Gusto and many others, AmericasMart offers in July a complete menu of events and culinary demonstrations in the fully equipped, broadcast-ready Gourmet Demonstration Kitchen and theatre, which hosted standing-room-only crowds in January. Featured highlights include: high-end kitchen appliances and product giveaways, celebrity chefs, tastes of AmericasMart's gourmet exhibitors, and exhibitor-sponsored demonstrations and events.

AmericasMart's Home category expansion launched in the January 2009 debut of Living. Indoor/Outdoor®. The Gardens® in Building 2 WestWing continues with a spectacular new space -- the 14th floor of Building One -- set to open July 8, 2009, as the featured introduction in the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market® and the Atlanta International Area Rug Market®.

The 14th floor opens as the premier destination in AmericasMart's two million square feet of home furnishings product, with sophisticated interiors and a rich, understated environment setting the stage for the nearly 100,000 square feet of high-end designer home furnishings and accessories showrooms opening in July.

Located strategically at the center of the AmericasMart Home product mix, the new 14th floor becomes the nexus for an entire building of home product, including the home furnishings temporaries on floor two; the area rug center on floors three through six; home furnishings temporaries on floors seven and eight; the home accents and fine linens center on nine and 10; home furnishings and accessories on floors 11 through 15, and the holiday, floral & home décor center on floors 16 through 20.
