Jan 15, 2010

Shoppers at The Food Emporium have the chance to experience antipodean cuisine when A Taste of Australia arrives this week in all 16 of the A&P banner's Manhattan stores. Beginning Jan. 15, customers will be able to sample an assortment of unique imported Australian products, including Tim Tam biscuits, Tasmanian Rain Water, Wagyu Beef and more.

Many products featured in the event will be debuting in the United States for the first time and will be available exclusively at The Food Emporium. Among them are:

• Pinnaroo Hill Extra Virgin Olive Oil: This distinctive, award-winning oil is available in Chili, Garlic or Basil varieties.

• Farm by Nature Chocolate Bars: Made with cocoa grown on Australia's very first cocoa plantation, the product line comes in such flavors as Pinot Noir, Merlot, Shiraz, and Organic Milk Honey & Almond.

• Brookfarm Macadamia Nut Muesli: Australia's leading producer of premium macadamia products offers Natural, Toasted and Gluten-Free varieties made with 16 wholesome grains.

• Arnotts Tim Tams: Australia's most beloved chocolate cookie, Arnotts Tim Tams feature two layers of chocolate cookie with chocolate cream in the middle, and enveloped in more rich chocolate. Varieties include Chocolate and Chewy Caramel.

• Tasmanian Rain Stillwater: Captured on the pristine island of Tasmania, this water is collected before ever touching the ground, resulting in a product 10 times purer than other premium waters.

Additional exclusive items to be highlighted at A Taste of Australia include Tuckers Dessert Biscuits, Darrell Lea Soft Licorice, Kind Fruit & Nut Bars, Cobram Estates Red Wine Vinegar and Waterthins Crackers.

Additionally, The Food Emporium will carry a variety of Australian meats and cheeses, among them Wagyu Beef selections (now available) and lamb cuts.
